Lolita was a one-off drama piece produced in 2000, with acting cameos from a number of regular YSTV members of the period including [[James Brookes]], filmed in the studio (including a Jerry Springer-style sequence) and around York. When the [[Video Server]] sprung into life in October 2003 it was one of the archive shows added to fill out the schedules and as such was shown regularly after for a few years.
Lolita was a one-off drama piece written, produced and directed by [[Claire Kilner]] with a team including [[Peter Bowles]], [[Paul Soulsby]] and [[Chris Ward]] amongst others.  Production took place throughout most of 1999 finishing early in 2000.
 
Filming locations included the local Sainsburys, Alcuin bar, student bedrooms, Goodricke toilets and a multi-camera shoot in the studio as part of a Jerry Springer-style sequence.
 
The cast were auditioned from Drama Soc types although YSTV's own [[James Brookes]] also took a central role.
