Campus Shopping Network - hosted by Mark Harrison - was a mock of the American-style QVC shopping channel (then recently started in the UK). The idea of the spoof came from Owain Davies who had an unusual creative moment during a station meeting. The spark for this idea most likely came from his visits to KwikSave which was close to his lodgings at 8 Siward Street. During this creative moment he also came up with the Campus Shipping Forecast. Both were originally created as a filler for Election Night 1994.
