Michael Cullen
Michael joined in October 2008 after his dad (somehow) heard about YSTV on the open day. He is studying Electronic Engineering with Media Technology and likes most things electronic or computer based (notable exceptions being the first year transistor course).
Although he is studying electronics, he has been asked on more than one occasion why he is not studying computer science instead. This is probably due to his ability to program better than most of the students on his course. This is more than offset by his complete inability to correctly format or document his code (it works, but good luck if you ever want to understand it!)
Although he has so far only been in YSTV for one year, he has already (perhaps foolishly) taken on several projects (in approximate order of level of completion):
* Overlayed.net * Clock Rewrite to run on modern hardware * Writing the officer reports and techie todo list part of the new website * P169 Replacement * Net mux Audio Breakout
None of these have been abandoned, though a couple of them are on hold for a few weeks until term starts again due to the complexity of the circuit.
He is the 2009-10 Deputy Technical Director
He also cannot decide whether to write about himself in the third person.
