Joe Radford has been an active member of YSTV from 2019 until 2022. In their first year, they were generally known for being a regular presence at [[Writer's Room]], winning [[YSTV Does Hunted]] episode 2 and co-creating of the infamous [[Baby Shark Social 2020]]. Their constant presence in YSTV during first year led many fellow freshers to believe they were actually a second or third year.

As the year came to an end, Joe could not have been prouder with what YSTV had been able to achieve in a year that saw it face so many difficulties. The resilience of his incredible team became particularly clear as they and [[Max Roach]] co-ordinated NaSTA entries over the summer break.

After graduating University, Joe continued to visit York regularly for the next year. Joe was always eager to come back to visit YSTV to see how the next generation were getting on. They couldn't be prouder of the work that [[Meg Maguire]], [[Liv Woodward]], [[Max Roach]] and [[Beth Marsch]] in particular were doing running YSTV after them.

They received a job offer from [[Edwin Barnes]], who they had met whilst running YSTV, and began to work for Moorhen Media. Moorhen Media was in many ways a direct result of YSTV with all three employees when Joe joined (the other being [[Pete Bowles]] of lighting rig fame) having been the Station Director of YSTV at one time or another.

In November 2022, the whole Moorhen Media team, along with a plethora of other alumni, headed back to York for the 55th anniversary celebrations. Joe in particular got very involved with the 48 hour livestream that took place over the weekend - producing several segments and also having a date with them sold for charity (the lucky winner of that date was [[Matthew Zeffertt]] - the date still has yet to take place).

The following year in April 2023, Joe joined the next generation of YSTV in attending NaSTA 2023 at Ravensbourne University. Despite being NaSTA's secretary, they spent the majority of the Weekend with YSTV, catching up with old friends and making some new ones too. They were very proud to take home the Silver Award for Event Coverage for their work on [[Roses 2022]] and the Gold Award for Best Documentary for [[Fit For Another World - The Legacy of Anne Lister]]. Later that same month Joe returned to YSTV once again to lend a hand with [[Roses 2023]], getting to experience a proper home Roses for the first time.
