Featuring different presenters, producers and segments, it is a prime platform for new members to learn different skills. The first episode was broadcast in January 2017. The show generally is a good starting point for new members to try different roles, start on Producing and it works well for Give It A Gos too.

After taking a longer break for most of the 2017/18 academic year, TTC returned in autumn term 2018 with weekly episodes. For this "season", Hayley Louise Clark was chosen as the executive producer, and was the first production most freshers worked on that year.

Throughout its evolution, the set traditionally had the same set-up, but with a working TV, the quilt hung above it, the table now parallel to the presenters, and newspaper covered wooden boards behind the sofas. The lighting was also changed to create a brighter friendlier feel to the show. On rare occasions, guests sit on the separate armchairs.

In recent episodes, the TV has been on the right hand side of the set, offering more width to the layout. It also allows for presenters and guests to sit with graphics next to them.

| Planned as a Volunteering Special from the last week of Spring Term, it was broadcast on the first Friday of Summer Term, making it what is probably the earliest planned Tea Time Chat thus far.

It featured an interview with Alice Driver one of the new YUSU Volunteering Officers, who spoke about projects at York and here ideas for the upcoming year. There was a VT, filmed on the previous Tuesday, about Nightsafe who were operated outside Kuda. Joel did an interview with three of their volunteers which was posted on their social media pages too. KEEN were interviewed by Joel and Raquel and they spoke about the project and getting involved. Joel and Raquel also spoke about their volunteering experiences, along with photos. With Roses ever-closer, the new trailer was shown along with a reminder of YSTV's upcoming coverage. The show was meant to end with a blooper reel from the show's trailer footage, but during the live stream an interesting guitar number was overlayed...

| With a show rebranding, this episode was considered a fresher's special. It featured interviews with Agnieszka Gzuit, one of the ISA Presidents and Henry Fairington, the LGBT Part-Time Officer. Kenric Yuen presented Agony Sabb, a live segment interviewing Julian Porch the Academic Sabbatical Officer where he answered freshers' questions. There were also VTs of Behind The Streams and Sabb-sational questions (10 questions about Uni to the sabbs). This was the first show to use titles. This was also, yet another show, to have sound problems.

| Styled as a mental health special. When none of the guests turned up YSTV did what YSTV does best. It plugged its own stuff. Joel came on to talk with Sam and Andy about experiences in YSTV, Sam spoke about Behind The Streams and his volunteering group, Raquel spoke about YorKitchen and how she needs a filmable kitchen (If you have one do contact us). It also featured a VT on Mental Health on Campus and a clip from the Coffee House Sessions performance from the previous week. Sam and Andy also read out a message from Nightline about what they offer to students as well as highlighting the Samaritans too.

Tea Time Chat has been a strong outlet at YSTV for promoting the show and station through social media. Episode Five was advertised through Facebook Live as Joel did a tour (with Emily Friend on camera phone) around the studio, interviewing the key people who were going to make the show happen. This grew up to over 800 views very quickly. A similar trend happened for the Volunteering Special when a teaser video, filmed on the bridge by Central Hall, hit about 800 views in less than 24 hours. The show itself was also successfully broadcast via Facebook, although the live view-count was likely to have been quite low. Joel later gave permission to release a blooper's reel which was also a considerable success on Facebook.

For Episode 9, Sam and Tom went out and about with Dan and Courtney experimenting with different video transitions with the advert theme of being lost. The presenters were trying to find their way to the show in order to present.

Mistakes
It wouldn't be YSTV production without a few mistakes. Tea Time Chat has often found live sound streaming to break, with synchronising the live stream, nervous random pressings of vision mixing buttons, autocue issues, wrong VTs and random music at the end of a blooper reel (Ep.7, since been edited out) being a forgivable mistake at one point or another.

A distinct lack of sound for some episodes.
