Matt joined YSTV in October 2014 and jumped straight into YSTV, producing Children in Need 2014 along with Sarah Mesterton-Gibbons, Amy Wilson and Robyn Place.

Addicted to the buzz of live TV, he took a short break of approximately 5 weeks to recuperate before offering to present Elections 2015. The then Station Director, Helen Hobin, suggested that Matt produced coverage of YUSU Elections. Matt said yes and over the course of the next seven weeks, much madness happened as he and co-producer Sam Nicholson came together to produce 48 60 Second Manifestos, and two three-hour live broadcasts covering the FTO Debates and Elections Results Night. Taking charge of content for the show, Matt had the enviable task of preparing for every eventuality by preparing questions for every single candidate that might win. Elections 2015 were a great success and was some of the most watched YSTV content in recent years.

Following another 5 week recuperation period, Matt produced and directed Live on the Lawn, YSTV's annual build up to Woodstock (which incidentally became more than Woodstock that year).

Amongst all this, he found the time to run for Station Director. He was successful and became SD in May 2015, taking over from Helen Hobin.

The story is ongoing...
