Giles was an active YSTV member between 2001 and 2003. He was instrumental in keeping YSTV's computing side and website ticking over, and also came up with the "campus map" graphics that impressed for a number of years on YUSU Election Nights.
Although graduating in 2003 he returned to the station as an active member for a few months in 2004, in a period in between jobs.
