Anyway, as far as we could tell, Lacklustre was a direct rip-off of that Bob Holness classic, Blockbusters, which first went on air in (thanks, Google) 1983 - so I guess this puts it as mid-80s. [[User:SarahD|SarahD]] 12:18, 10 July 2007 (BST)

Yes I've seen both of them - not sure if they survive on their own but RendezVous is in one of your open days (as late at 1996 I think, which from what I can tell is about 6/7 years after most of the clips were filmed!) and Sledgehammer was regularly used in [[Network]] so survives there.
I haven't seen any of Lacklustre anywhere outside that clip though - indeed most of the B&W stuff from closure appears to have either bit the dust or been nicked at some point, so in some ways it's a good job a "history of YSTV" prom was made at that point as it saved much of it! We found this, either on one of the really old archive tapes, or on another "promo" style piece, I can't remember which. (Aside: there were a number of compilations set to music knocking about in the early 1990s, set to Jean-Michel Jarre's "Rendez-Vous" and Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer". They were so overplayed that I couldn't listen to either piece of music for years afterwards. Not sure if you still have them?).
