1984's election night programme is the earliest currently playable recording in YSTV's archive.

It features a very rowdy panel, a smart links presenter, a reporter in Goodricke dining hall talking to beared beret-wearing student politicians and a filler of a new music video called "Thriller" by one Michael Jackson.
