That screenshot brought back some memories, had not seen that for years. I believe the [[Tank Umatic]] was originally controlled by the Grapevine machine (BBC). This was not replaced until after the schedula had become established. Therefore did not feature in the original spec. I seem to remember it mainly played adverts and that our advertising contract may have run out and therefore there would have been little impetus to get the thing going. As to why it did  not work I cannot remember.

I was amazed I could still remember how to compile the source (since I didn't have a binary). Also, my comment about it "never being seen to work" was more because the tank was on one side of the room by the studio entrance way and schedula PC was over by the window with no long parallel cable to link them, rather than it not working. It may have worked as far as I'm concerned but I never saw it working and later chopped the code out. [[User:Sprow|Sprow]] 18:04, 22 May 2007 (BST)

That screenshot brought back some memories, had not seen that for years. I believe the Tank Umatic was originally controlled by the Grapevine machine (BBC).

Sprow 18:04, 22 May 2007 (BST)
