The idea of the spoof came from [[Owain Davies]] who had an unusual creative moment during a station meeting. The spark for this idea most likely came from his visits to KwikSave which was close to his lodgings at [[8 Siward Street]]. During this creative moment he also came up with the [[Campus Shipping Forecast]]. Both were originally created as a filler for [[Election Night 1994]].
