Marmite is an on campus club night hosted by YUSU in [[Glasshouse]]. It features cheesy pop music that you will either love or hate (much like marmite).

Traditionally Marmite featured cheap drinks (often £1 shots), free prawn crackers upon entry and old episodes of Pokemon would be played on all the screens in the venue.

The popularity of Marmite eventually led to the creation of a sister event, [[Timewarp]].

== History ==
Marmite was conceived as the answer to [[Willow]] closing. Willow had been a popular club in York (and also primarily a Chinese restaurant). The logo for Willow was a marmite jar and hence when it closed its doors, Marmite was born.
