Joe Radford has been an active member of YSTV from 2019 until 2022. In their first year, they were generally known for being a regular presence at [[Writer's Room]], winning [[YSTV Does Hunted]] episode 2 and co-creating of the infamous [[Baby Shark Party]]. Their constant presence in YSTV during first year led many fellow freshers to believe they were actually a second or third year.

Later in their time at York, they were best known for running YSTV during a large portion of the Covid-19 Pandemic, as well as in the transition back to in-person activity. They had two terms as [[Station Director]], first being elected in Winter Term of 2020, following [[Zoe Dickinson]] stepping down. Upon being re-elected in 2021, Joe became the fifth Station Director to have a second term.

Under Joe, YSTV survived a period of extreme turmoil and upheaval. At a time when many student tv stations collapsed, YSTV was able to keep going and create new foundations when regular activity resumed. Although it may seem a bit dramatic to say, it is entirely possible YSTV wouldn’t have made it through the Covid-19 pandemic without Joe.

Alongside the serious business of running YSTV, Joe also became known as an infamous fan of [[Timewarp]] and [[Marmite]], advocating for them at every opportunity and tearing up the dance floor with [[Rhys Milling]] at either event whenever possible.
