James joined YSTV in October 2003 and soon after became Co-[[Controller of Factual Programming]] with [[Lauren Carter]].  He presented a number of shows including [[Bona Dicta]] and [[Elections 2004]].  He was [[Station Director]] for a month in summer 2004 before being no-confidenced due to disagreements over his leadership style.

He has since become a prominent figure in Halifax college and campus politics, standing for SU President in the 2007 YUSU Elections.
