Solipsism was a surreal, dark comedy series, of which Matthew Platts and his partners in crime James Butterworth and Al Power made around twenty short episodes of in 2004. It's hard to know how to describe it, but it featured many references to the YSTV clock, Mac computers, campus hacks and other in-jokes. Many of these elements were transferred to short sequences in Bona Dicta when Matthew became producer of the debate show.

The first programme was introduced live from the control room by Matthew.

The programme was entered as Best Comedy at NaSTA 2004. It didn't win.
