As Central Hall was undergoing restauration at the time, this was the first year the LYA were held at the Joseph-Rowntree-Theatre in town. Because of this, YSTV had to hire a van, in which they built the gallery for the OB unit. Set-up was done the day before, with the crew arriving a few hours before the live stream to connect up cables. Despite the complicated setup, tech went mostly fine, except for wireless comms failing.

This year also posed a new challenge in terms of secrecy, as YSTV members [[Edwin Barnes]] and [[Katherine Bell]] were both nominated for awards - with Edwin winning the Best Contribution to Student Media Award. This meant that the video celebrating the winner of the Contribution to Student Life had to be produced in secret by [[Thomas Schubert]] and editor [[Sam Hance]].

Another addition to this year's production was the inclusion of a voice-over presenter to introduce the winners as they walked up to the stage. This role was filled by [[Andy Tallon]]. The live show also included screenings of recent YSTV Productions such as [[Point and Shoot]].

(Edwin even managed to properly pull off live highlights properly, despite spending most of the show inside the venue).

Once again, the LYA were held in the Joseph-Rowntree-Theatre and produced by [[Thomas Schubert]], with [[Tom McGonagle]] acting as assisstant producer for the laudatio video. Due to this, a lot of this year's production was focussed on improving on the new elements introduced in the previous year, like the voice-over presenter ([[Jacob Boyle]]) and the live highlights. The show once again featured several YSTV videos (like the [[Roses 2019]] trailer), as well as new announcements by YSTV's [[Sam Hance]] (which had previously be done by [[URY]]) and new graphics by [[Thomas Schubert]]. As usual, the stream wasn't without technical problems, this year mostly caused by [[YUSU]]'s audio tech.
YSTV and its members were also up for several awards: [[Edwin Barnes]] was nominated for the Contribution to Student Media Award, [[Charlotte Rogers]] won Highly Commended for the Outstanding Contribution to Student Life Award, and YSTV itself was nominated for Contribution to [[Roses 2019]] and won the Best Committee Award. Since the crew knew they would win this specific award, they could not help being cheeky and had [[Joseph Wharfe]] on the wireless cam step outside the venue to get a shot of them celebrating.
The live stream was directed jointly by [[Olivia Gibbs]] and [[Thomas Schubert]].
