Joe Radford has been an active member of YSTV since 2019. In their first year, they were generally known for being a regular presence at [[Writer's Room]], winning [[YSTV Does Hunted]] episode 2 and co-creating of the infamous [[Baby Shark Social 2020]]. Their constant presence in YSTV during first year led many fellow freshers to believe they were actually a second or third year.

Later in their time at York, they became best known for running YSTV through a large amount of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the transition back to in-person activity. Later in their time at York, they were best known for running YSTV during a large portion of the Covid-19 Pandemic, as well as in the transition back to in-person activity. They had two terms as [[Station Director]], first being elected in Winter Term of 2020, following [[Zoe Dickinson]] stepping down. Upon being re-elected in 2021, Joe became the fifth Station Director to have a second term.

Under Joe, YSTV survived a period of extreme turmoil and upheaval. At a time when many student tv stations collapsed, YSTV was able to keep going and create new foundations from which to build upon once regular activity could resume. Although it may seem a bit dramatic to say, it is entirely possible YSTV wouldn’t have made it through the Covid-19 pandemic without Joe.
