- This article is about a piece of equipment. For more information on what it is for or how to use it, try its documents wiki article.
These pages aim to document the current status of the Distribution Network both for general interest and for the benefit of future members maintaining and extending it.
There is roughly one page per link in the network, with a few exceptions. The location marked as Hub was until 2007 inside the Language Teaching Centre next to Central Hall. That having been demolished, it is now going to end up in a cabinet on the walkway outside Central Hall, but doing much the same job.
For a map of it all, try google.
- Goodricke-Physics-Hub The long daisy-chain used to get from G/046 through to the old studio and thence to the network Hub.
- Physics Concourse Definitely the shortest broadcast cable of the lot, from P/X/002 down to the concourse itself.
- Hub-Langwith-Derwent The odd one out of the 1998 project because it used the old Rediffusion cabling for nearly all the distance.
- Hub-Vanbrugh Although the pilot in 1996 this has since been re-done to match all the other 1998 locations.
