James joined YSTV in 1997, and quickly became part of the team producing Bulletin. He was the main interviewer on Election 98 and EN 99, and the host of the second Never Mind The Rip-Off as well as acting in Lolita. He held the post of Controller of News and Current Affairs during 1998-9. He returned to YSTV as co-host of the URYVision Song Contest in June 2004.

He is now a teacher.
