Tim joined YSTV in his first term at York, in 1996. He was elected to the post of Treasurer in 1997 after proving his budgeting skills (buying two cheeseburgers and reconstructing them rather than one big mac in McDonalds...). He later held the post of Technical Director and, with Rob Sprowson, rewired much of York Uni campus' TV network.
During the summer holidays Tim honed his skills working as an engineer at BBC TV Centre, but after graduating in 1999 went to earn some real money at Globecast in North London.
In 2010, he returned to Auntie's bosom in a move that industry experts described as 'significant' for the corporation[1].
