Create a help page

New page

Cool, let's get you started writing an article.

==Your Account==

The first thing you need to do is sign up for an account to edit things here.
# In the top right corner, click [[Special:UserLogin|Log in / create account]].
# Log in if you already have an account, or create one if you don't.
Any problems, forgotten passwords, issues, feel free to email computing{{@|12}}ystv.york.ac.uk.

==Your Article==

What do you want to write about? There's a [[Special:WantedPages|list of pages that get linked to a lot that don't exist]]. Click a [[Elections 2008|red]] [[Roses 2006|link]] and just start writing, or click ''edit'' on the top of any existing page.

* Create links to other pages using two square brackets: typing <code><nowiki>[[Roses 2007]]</nowiki></code> creates <code>[[Roses 2007]]</code>.
* Boldify text using three apostrophes: typing <code><nowiki>'''History Wiki'''</nowiki></code> creates <code>'''History Wiki'''</code>.

'''It really doesn't matter if you break things.'''

Every version of every page is stored here. You can't permanently break things, so just edit, improve and have fun. It also doesn't matter if you can't link things perfectly, or make the prettiest page: the information is what's important.

==Your Images==

[[Special:Upload|Upload your photos]] of YSTV history to the wiki. Give them a descriptive title and a little bit of information (date, location). If you're feeling really adventurous, use the template [[Template:Photo-reuse|photo-reuse]] to add information.
