For some reason there appeared to be an an awful lot of tinny midi tunes of music such as the Thunderbirds theme tune played at regular interviews.
The programmed benefitted from the keyboard skills of [[Phil Toms]] who was installed in the studio with his keyboard. He provided musical accompliment to befit the mood of the programs on his own initiative, since audio from his keyboard was live to net during the whole of the programme. At one point during the proceedings, [[Graham Quince]] does introduce Phil to the camera, however this footage has presumably been lost. This is a shame since, in later years, it was commented that there seemed to be an an awful lot of tinny midi tunes of music played at regular intervals.

The only footage YSTV appears to hold of this programme is included as a highlights VT in an [[Open Day]] programme.

YUSU Elections 1996 was presented from a submarine at the bottom of the lake (apparently).

It was the first of three election night programmes with a theme throughout. Previous programmes had included a themed "area" such as a bar, a beach or a bed, and this year they appeared to go the whole hog, even with sections in narrative as characters.

The programmed benefitted from the keyboard skills of Phil Toms who was installed in the studio with his keyboard. He provided musical accompliment to befit the mood of the programs on his own initiative, since audio from his keyboard was live to net during the whole of the programme. At one point during the proceedings, Graham Quince does introduce Phil to the camera, however this footage has presumably been lost. This is a shame since, in later years, it was commented that there seemed to be an an awful lot of tinny midi tunes of music played at regular intervals.

The only footage YSTV appears to hold of this programme is included as a highlights VT in an Open Day programme.
