Roses 2013, the 49th edition of the event happened in York between the 3rd and 5th of May 2013. As the only member of the station interested in sport at the time, Matt Johnson effectively became producer by default. With only one camera fully functioning at the start of the weekend, planning was difficult. Matt lost count of the number of times he had to say "We're flying it by the seat of our pants..." to each new member who turned up to help.
