Kate Rushworth

Kate Rushworth was one half of the News Biatch dream team of 2004/5 along with Kat Sutton (also accompanied by Lucy Watkins).

• Joined in January 2004, working on YSTV Week with James Thorniley.
• Became Controller of News and Current Affairs in May 2004.
• Became Co-Controller of News and Current Affairs with Kat Sutton in January 2005.
• Produced Stereotypes in October 2004.
• Was a sidekick on Small Screen from October 2004-June 2005, presenting the legendary Shit TV.
• Co-produced Elections 2005 with Kat Sutton.
• Became PR Manager in May 2005.

After graduation Kate initially worked as a factual researcher and then as an archive researcher. After overseeing BBC Worldwide's You Tube channels for a number of years she became part of You Tube itself, joining Google in March 2012. It hasn't escaped her knowledge that her career is now based around something that was only launched during her last term at York...

One half of a ystv couple with Jonathan Bufton, they married in April 2013, nine years after meeting in the station. Accordingly she is now more commonly known as Kate Bufton.
