Took over as News Director from Andrew Hawkins in 1996 and after toying with the libel laws handed over to Julie Knox. Organised the 1997 NaSTA conference before barely graduating in 1997.

After various jobs in television John now finds himself in Newton Le Willows as a Product Manager working on online products for Autotrader.co.uk
