James Brookes

James joined YSTV in 1997, and quickly became part of the team producing Bulletin. He was the main interviewer on Election 98 and EN 99, and the host of the second Never Mind The Rip-Off as well as acting in Lolita. He held the post of Controller of News and Current Affairs during 1998-9. He returned to YSTV as co-host of the URYVision Song Contest in June 2004.

Brookesy is better know for his work with URY - in fact he amazingly still presents two shows a week on the station. On 7th January 2008 he celebrated ten years presenting for the station.

He studied Maths and Linguistics followed by an education postgrad degree, and is now a maths and advanced skills teacher at Sherburn High School.
