Cooking with Chris was a cookery show hosted by Chris Barker, a YSTV presenting regular in the mid 1990s.  It was fairly madcap compared to the usual style of cookery programmes, with one programme beginning with him in a shopping trolley outside Sainsbury's and another running around his mother's kitchen at home

It was reported in the Summer 2003 edition of the University Of York's graduate magazine Grapevine that Chris had tragically drowned during a yachting trip.  Three years later his father wrote a piece for the magazine on his connections with York and referenced his son's "madcap YSTV cookery show".


Cooking With Chris is unrelated to the later [[Cooking With]] series apart from the similar title.
